A few months ago, we had the pleasure of receiving an email from the wonderfully arty & talented Cathy Bluteau. We had a delicious little conversation with Cathy, and asked her if she would write a little post for us about her love for creating and working with her hands. The lovely Cathy has obliged, and so we introduce her, and her dreamy work…

Is there any other way for an artist to live than to create?  How can you transform the colors and images in your head to be anything but art?
When I see the gentle folds, the contrasting textures and the play of light I know this must be art.  Fast and furious the ideas form and need to find an outlet.  When everything comes together in one simple creation, I feel the calm.  Is there any other way?

You can find Cathy on her blog and etsy shop here. We love her hand stitched & painted Muslin bags for dreamy gifts. Spoonful could fit in there nicely – no? ;)

Oh dear, I have one of Cathy’s muslin bags and what seems like a thousand other creative treasures of hers. And her kits? Be still my heart. I have to put blinders on so I don’t keep buying, LOL! Your blog is absolutely lovely. Hugs!
